In response to a lot of people's emails - is it going to be easier for people to go to Paul on the Sat 19th, or are people still working/partying?

Closing Night of GUD
Hey All,
Here's the deal:
GUD is closing on Sunday 20th April (that's next Sunday) and I'd really like to go. As far as cost goes it's a bit more expensive than the preview - $22.50 for conc and $26 for adults (though if we get a group of 8 or more then everyone pays $22.50)
Anyway - email me if you're interested and can afford it, or if you know of anyone else that's interested. I want to book at the latest Monday of next week.

Wow! Look at me! I've posted to LJ for the first time since.....well it's been a long time. For those disbelievers out there, yes I'm still alive (just)
Well, the world still turns in the life of Michael Saxon. I can't be fucked running through what's happened in my life since I last posted, so I'm just gonna assume you're all up to speed and we're going to start again from present day.
I start a new job next week [yay] and it should be both stressful and enjoyable all at the same time. I don't quite know what I'm doing as yet, but hey
Uni goes back as of Monday [yay][urgh]. I met with a course adviser on Thurs and had a very long chat - I discovered that my degree is useless unless I become CPA qualified so I now have to change all my subjects, go back and do more 1st year subjects and in the end scrape through by the skin of my teeth. If I hadn't met a course adviser before this semester started I would have wated 5 years of my life at uni....but then some people do arts and waste 10, so either way I would have come out in front - no offence to all those arts students out there.
Anyway, due to my short attention span I can't be fucked of thinking of anything more to post, so here endeth the reading...

Right, Finally in front of computer for first time this week. This is what happens when I do non-stop theatre for 10 days, I have mp3 and internet withdrawals. Anyway, finally got a day off[yay!] in which I have to catch up on my mountain of uni work[boo hissssssss] so that I can take it easy next week [yay!] and not get kicked out of uni in the process [ya....boo hiss..ay?!?!?]
In my re-assimilation with technology I discovered that I have Tripod in my mp3 collection! It's Bevan the Musical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In other news I've finally bought a pair of balck jeans which I'm very proud of........what?
Also, I've decided that Sylvia Plath was an insane bitch, but also vaugly interesting. At least that's what I got out of the play I just sound op'd for.....in Moorabbin. Or maybe it was just the increased oxygen in the air that far away from the city...i dunno.
Dani... I did your poll thing, read my questions..............
Anyway, must go and actually do some work today.......
Quote for the day: "I remember being handed a score composed by Mozart at the age of eleven. What could I say? I felt like de Kooning, who was asked to comment on a certain abstract painting, and answered in the negative. He was then told it was the work of a celebrated monkey. 'That's different. For a monkey, it's terrific.'" -Igor Stravinsky, "London Magazine", March, 1967

Ah, another day, another day of Darren Ray being an absolute git! I don't see how a person of his stupidity and narrow-mindnedness could have made it into a position of leadership.....but then just look at every government in Australia!
Anyway this is really just a message for Liam to say that I now have an audiogalaxy account and that he should accept my membership to the CoffeeGroup Group (he he lots of Groups)
Anyway, in other news I bought Moulin Rouge on DVD today. It was only 29.95 at Myer (yay) and even though I probably couldn't afford it, I bought it anyway.

Yay, when I make coffee everything's better cause now Wackiness is back online....WHAT? Anyway, back to my coffeegroup quiz note to NAT!...why couldn't I have a got a better picture than that, even a picture of a small innocent goat would have looked more business like than me.....WHAT? haven't you ever seen a goat in a business suit.........yeeees????!?!?!?
ANYWAY
The quiz is cool otherwise (yay Nat) In other news I'm going to be taking my building's body corporate to court cause they let mother's car get broken into last night because they can't get off their arses and fix the bloody garage door!!!!!!!..and breathe...... Basically, about three weeks ago someone drove into our garage door and so they had to get a new one made which they said would take 10 days. Three weeks later no garage door and now some idiots come along break into all the cars that were in the garage last night and take my mother's mobile phone. So, I think the stupid idiot's at the body corporate should pay for all damages caused. Anyway in other news we now know how much it's going to cost for rights to Business of Murder - check your emails Liam and Dani
In closing it's great to be back on LJ, and (sniffle) I'd um (sniffle) like to thank the (sniffle) academy and um (weep, choke sniffle) I think Halle Berry should be shot. Thanks very much I'm here til Thursday. Tickets $10/$12.

Well, I've finally gotten off my arse and started using livejournal again! Yay It could have a lot to do with the fact that this is first day off uni I've had when I haven't been working /building a set in about 7 weeks. So I got up for a morning of mp3's, wackiness and coffeegroup quiz (yay!) Anyway, I'm almost up to the present in Wackiness (though keenspace just went offline so I'm stuck with death propositining Nat for a game of Poker). I did the coffeegroup quiz and got me (YAY!!!!). I would have been truly disturbed if I'd gotten anyone else 'cause two people like me in the one social group is just dangerous. Oh by the way Nat... I never said at any stage that I disliked coffee. In fact I'm so addicted to the stuff that just writing about it makes me want to go and make some more. Back in a sec.

8:41 pm - I'm being stalked
|
Most of you would already know that I sent out my "I'm depressed [he he he] email after Crazy Horse. Anyway I get a few emails back and one of them is from the FOH manager, Rita. And for some reason from this email and past memories of her I can somehow picture her having this huge crush on me [scary]. I mean she's a nice enough girl but honestly she just isn't my type [Rita's kind of a Justine but with introverted personality]. Anyway, I'm basically dreading having to see her tomorrow at the post-production meeting. Oh well, spose that will be the last time I'll have to spend time with her anyway [hooray!]

11:33 pm - Back to a normal life.....yes *smiles sadistically*
|
Well, now that crazy horse is over I can finally pick up the pieces of my working life, social life and most importantly my uni life. For the first time I have actually felt like I'm going to fail a subject - French. We have this really stupid casette thing to do, it's due on Wednesday and a) I haven't started it and b) it's with a partner. I'm so fucked. Not much else is going on in my life at the moment, although if there was I wouldn't know cause I've been out of touch for the last two weeks. Anyway off to sleep - got home at 4am after cast party, not enough sleep so I will have to make up for it now!

2:23 pm - Good Friday Blues
|
I've come to the conclusion that Good Friday only exists so that people like me are forced to spend time with their families. I managed to sleep until 12 so pretty much half the day was gone before I had to see my mother. But, as soon as I got up it was "Clean your room, throw this out, throw that out, no you can't leave the house there's nothing open!" etc etc etc... Now I'm sitting here in my room listening to Monty Python [yay!] with all the crap that's going to be thrown away strewn around me.. Getting back to my Good Friday rant - Although I respect religion and it would be sad to break with tradition, I just wish there was somewhere to go on Good Friday where something was open. I know! Next year I'll open up a cafe that will hold a huge party on Good Friday for all us bored people who want to get away from their families! What do you think alter ego? ***Well I think you're completely insane and that if you opened a cafe next year it wouldn't last until Good Friday...*** Good point. Oh well back to the drawing board on that one... Aside from the GF thing it is really great to be on holiday. I don't think I could've coped with another day of uni. Anyway tying up mother dearest's precious phone line so must go...

2:17 pm - After the benefit gig.
|
Well, my life is certainly a lot less stressful now that the benefit gig is over. For those who forgot the benefit gig was for a production I'm producing at the moment. We made more money than we thought we would get so life's pretty good. However I think I've decided to quit Coffee HQ. The job is just getting to me at the moment. I seem to dread going to work at Coffee HQ and yet I still look forward to going to work at Myer each shift. I don't recommend for anyone to have two jobs, it just makes life far too complicated. Anyway I've got to stop typing and get organised to go to Coffee HQ [sigh].

I have no idea what's up with my life. I seem to be just drifting all over the place without any real control over what I'm doing or where I'm heading. I seem to go through each day like I'm not actually in my own body. It's really scary. I think maybe I should go away for a while and then come back and start afresh. [pity I can't afford it]

5:44 pm - I'm Back!!!
|
Well, after nearly 2 weeks of without a computer I've finally got one up and running. I now have a Duron 1.0GHz (very cool) that hopefully won't break any time soon. Now I know all of you will be sitting there thinking well why didn't he just use LJ from a different computer. Well, I say, it's cause I've been so busy in the last 2 weeks that I haven't actually had time to sit down in front of a computer. In 2 weeks I have managed to raise sponsorship to put on a show, organise all of the publicity for the show and recruit a production team bigger than Ben Hur. We worked out the other day that there are 8 cast members and 16 production team members. We have at least 2 people doing every production job possible. Pretty different from the way we're used to operating huh... Anyway, just got a call from Claire (the person organising the show) telling me that we've lost one lead actor (BTW the show opens in 3 weeks), and our alcohol sponsor, that the printers refused to print our posters because they're the wrong colour, but other than that everything's just peachy... Apart from that I'm still working two jobs, desperatly trying to pass uni, resurrect my social life and stop myself from going insane in the process. I failed at the latter several times in the last fortnight. That's all for now, I'm off to catch up on Wackiness!!!!!!

I am so sick of people hammering on my roof. I have no idea what they're doing up there but they've been up there long enough to build housing for the asylum seekers John Howard reject's twice over. How am I expected to study effectively with a constant banging above me. Of course I'm not studying at this point in time, I'm writing my LJ, but if I was it would be very annoying! Aside from the banging I'm actually having a good day. I found a free venue for my benefit concert for Crazy Horse. The only problem is they won't let us have a band, however maybe we can sneek one in when they're not looking.........OR perhaps we could just find another form of entertainment and save us a law suit (I think that's much better don't you?" Anyway I will continue being happy offline so that my phone line isn't constantly in use....

|
This is just a very quick post as I am bogged down with producing a new production. That's right, if the failure of Wyrd Sisters wasn't enough to deter me I'm now having to organise sponsorship, budgets a gala night and a benefit concert. I'm such a masochist!
